As a principal and managing partner of SMA, Tim has played a key role in SMA's growth by encouraging a relationship-focused approach to client experience and empowering a design process that bridges early client vision with end-user experience. He brings a creative approach to the process of solving complex design opportunities using a variety of tools to best visually communicate ideas and translate concepts to reality.

He has a love for the business of architecture and strives to deliver the highest level of design services through strategic, measurable growth, and investing in communities across Montana. He feels SMA has comprehensive services that meet the needs of a wide variety of project and client types, and as such has been involved in most project typologies including military, healthcare, higher education, K-12 education, mixed-use, and historic preservation.

Tim has a family of two strong daughters and a cherished, supportive wife, who are his key teammates in life. They love their time together, whether they are traveling to new places, returning to favorite destinations, or at home for Meldrum Movie Night.
