Montana State University-Bozeman opened it's newest residence hall on August 4, 2020. Hyalite Hall, named for the renowned recreational area just miles south of the campus, will house approximately 500 students, primarily freshman. Tom Stump, Associate VP of MSU Auxilliary Services, spoke on the overarching themes of the project. "Hyalite, Community and Neighbor," were goals throughout, said Stump.
With vertical neighborhoods connecting floors, and a variety of communal, social and study areas, a live-learn environment will help students build supportive relationships for their education and well-being, creating a holistic college experience.
Though hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic, Montana State University aired the ribbon cutting virtually for all to enjoy. Congratulations to the design team, including NAC Architecture, Jackson Contracting Group, DCI Engineers, ACE Engineers and TD&H Engineers, as well as MSU on a huge accomplishment.
